This policy applies to the ASTERCARS Marrakech website at www.car-rental-marrakech.com and to information you give us when asking about or making a car rental reservation. The website is operated by Aster Cars Marrakech (ASTERCARS) in Marrakech, Morocco.

Information we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Booking information: your name, email address, phone number, selected vehicle, rental dates and times, pickup and return locations, flight or hotel details you provide, and requested extras.
- Contact information: your name, email address, optional phone number, and the message you send us.
- Rental documents: staff may ask to inspect your passport or ID and driving licence when arranging or fulfilling a rental. The online booking form does not ask you to upload copies of these documents.
- Optional child-seat detail: if you request a baby seat, the booking form asks for the child’s age so we can arrange the appropriate seat.
- Technical information: basic information about a visit, such as the pages requested, date and time, browser and device details, and network information, may be recorded by website infrastructure for operation and security.
The online booking form does not ask for payment card numbers. Rental payments and any deposit are handled separately under the rental terms. Please do not send card details in a website message.
How we use information
We use information to respond to questions, prepare and manage reservations, contact you about pickup or return arrangements, provide customer and roadside support, maintain business and rental records, and operate and protect the website. We do not sell personal information or use booking details to build advertising profiles.
When information is shared
We share information only where needed to provide the service or meet a legal obligation. This may include:
- Supabase, which the website uses to store vehicle and booking records.
- Resend, which the website uses to deliver booking and contact emails.
- Google Maps, whose map is embedded on the website. Loading the map may send technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to Google.
- Rental, insurance, delivery, payment, or public authorities where this is needed to complete your rental, protect rights, or comply with law.
These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not give them booking or contact information so they can advertise their products to you.
Google account data
The ASTERCARS website currently does not offer Google Sign-In or request Google account data through Google APIs. The Google service we found on this website is the embedded map described above. If a Google sign-in or other Google authorization feature is added, this policy must be updated to explain exactly what Google data the feature accesses, how it is used and stored, and when it is shared.
Cookies and embedded content
The site may use essential browser storage or cookies for basic functionality and security. Embedded content, including Google Maps, may use technologies governed by the provider’s own privacy policy. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect some site features.
Retention and security
We keep booking and contact information for as long as needed to handle your request or rental, provide support, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. We then delete or de-identify it when no longer needed, subject to records retained in backups or where the law requires longer retention. We use appropriate safeguards for the information we handle, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Processing outside Morocco
Some website service providers may process information in countries outside Morocco. Any international transfer of personal information must meet the requirements that apply under Moroccan Law No. 09-08 and any procedures required by the Moroccan data protection authority (CNDP).
Your choices and rights
You can contact us to ask whether we hold information about you, request access or correction, ask us to delete information where we are not required to keep it, or object to certain processing where applicable. To make a request, email contact@astercars.com.
People in Morocco may also have rights under Law No. 09-08, including rights of access, correction, and objection. You can find the law and information about the CNDP at cndp.ma.
